Updated Application Information for 2024 Due to circumstances beyond our control, the opening of the Substation Technician Apprenticeship application period will be delayed one week. The application period will now open on January 29, 2024, and close on February 9, 2024.   We apologize for this inconvenience. Substation Technician Program: The California-Nevada JATC will be accepting applications online ONLY for 10 days from  January 29, 2024 until February 9, 2024. Applications can ONLY be submitted online through our website and will not be available until January 29, 2024.  Once the application period opens, you will need to click on the Substation tab, and "Apply here". You will need to set up a New Candidate account on our portal. You will need a valid email address to log in to our Application Services and complete your online application.  If you do not have a valid email address, you can retain one for free at Yahoo, Hotmail or Google.  You WILL NOT be able to fill out an online application until January 29, 2024. The application must be completed online no later than February 9, 2024 and all required  documentation MUST be uploaded with your online application. No documentation will be accepted in the office, it must be uploaded with your application. Please visit our minimum requirements page located under the Substation tab to review  our minimum requirements.  Also, please refer to our information sheet prior to submitting an application. The information sheet is located under the Forms & Applications tab. In addition to submitting the online application, this sheet will list the documentation required to submit with your application.  Please do not send any documents to our office.  They WILL NOT be accepted.  Once your application is started, you will be able to track the progress and/or status online.
